"Some terrific work here. Clever and intelligent writing... A talented
singer: beautiful control and tuning, expressive and flexible. A nicely
balanced production."
- Frank Nakashima, writer, WholeNote Magazine

"Distinctive and effective…I enjoyed particularly the unexpected harmonic "twists"…
The final cadences often are quite effective…
‘LOLA’ is quite evocative… Well engineered a generous 72 minutes”
- Jack Behrens, composer, and Director of Academic Studies,
The Glenn Gould School

"Having been privy to Pip's last three releases, it's been intriguing to hear how he has come to release another great record that stays true to the man, yet, again, breaks fresh ground as an artist... Penetrating lyrics and sparkling guitar-work.
A delight to listen to from start to finish, thought-provoking, and well-grounded.
Highly recommended."

Bio
Pip has been nominated for multiple Hamilton Arts Awards.
Pip is also a past winner of the Central Ontario Songwriter’s Award (1999).
In 2015 he released his 22nd
album, Manatee.
He has performed in Korea, Thailand, Laos, France, Spain, Germany, the US and Canada.
Once, playing a tiny club in Seoul, he won over a cover-tune-demanding audience after a tipsy audience member had accidentally opened a bottle of beer all over Pip’s guitar neck (the beer fridge was directly behind the “stage”).
The owner came up, apologized, and cleaned the guitar mess up with a towel with Pip continuing to play all the while.
As well as headlining himself, Pip has opened for Ian Tamblyn, David Wiffen, and James Keelaghan (their music does not sound like Pip’s).
In 2001, Pip played hockey for the famous Morningstars, a team comprising Toronto area musicians.
His music is catchy, fresh, reflective, jazz-influenced or ‘snazzy’ pop tunes.
