The Comedy Spotlight

Quinn Dahle took a journey in 1993 from Minnesota to Colorado, then in 1997 he left Colorado and found himself in Arizona. By 1998 Quinn moved onto the bright lights of Los Angles and landing as the winner of round five of The Uncle Clyde’s Comedy Contest at The Ice House in Los Angles on Aug. 29, 2007. This gives him a spots in the finals in November 2007. As well, Quinn will send a week at The Ice House being the opening act to a major touring headliner, and has been invited to the Detroit Comedy Festival.

People in and out of the comedy business consider Quinn to be a smart, clean, and witty
Stand-up Comic with impeccable timing. Young Mr. Dahle is comfortable working in clubs, colleges, or doing one nighters. Quinn has toured around the Southern California area opening for major acts including Robin Williams, Bill Maher, Tommy Cong, David Alan Grier, John Witherspoon, and John Pinette.

According to Quinn “I’ve always been a joker and people have been telling me I should do stand-up since I was a kid.” And it just happens that this talented young man comes from a showbiz family. Mr. Dahle Sr. played in the band Copperhead in the late 1960 and 1970’s. Mr. Dahle Jr. decided he would rather write jokes instead of songs.

Quinn is an ambitious person who decided to throw his hat into the ultra competitive Southern California Stand-Up business and the ultra competitive Southern California Real Estate business. Going from the fire to the fire!

Never afraid to jump in feet first, Quinn looks out for his fellow comics and in fact saved another comics life while on the road. “I was opening for some big fat guy at a casino in Nevada. He was about 30 minutes into his act when he started choking on some rock salt from a shot of tequila. The room was packed with about 500 people and they thought it was a joke at first. Then he came backstage pointing at his throat. No one else knew the Heimlich so I gave it a whirl. It was hard due to his great girth but it did come up eventually. He told me I saved his life but I just did what any hero would do.”

The future is bright for Mr. Quinn Dahle and he aims to have industry people to know his name. Projects in the works include touring his stand-up act, writing new material, and breaking into the world of television and movies.
Meanwhile, every comic he tours with can rest easy because Quinn can make them laugh, appraise their house for refinancing or give them a Heimlich!
