Biography

Fudakochi

“Make it look easy,” that is what can be said about Fudakochi (pronounced Foo-dah-co-chee), an up and coming singer/songwriter who hails from Miami, Florida where he was raised in a family of musicians. This is where he began singing and playing the piano at the age of 7.

With musical influences ranging from Ray Charles to Sergio Mendes, he always knew that one day he would take part in the family trade. Fudakochi, a Japanese name that was given to him at birth means strength, love, and honor. He conveys these characteristics to you through his music.

While attending the University of North Texas during a practice session, Fudakochi was approached by a band manager who inquired about his availability to play keyboard for a band that was set to go on tour. During this same session, Fuda was overheard singing and it was from this chance encounter that he was hired as the band’s keyboard player and lead vocalist.

The band, which played alternative rock and soul music, toured Germany, Amsterdam, and London on the “Keep Music Alive” tour. From Texas to New York, California to Florida and even overseas, Fudakochi has been traversing the continents, spreading his words of love.

To date, Fuda has written/co-written over 200 songs. The songs are about his personal life experiences in addition to the experiences of others. It is through his songs that he is able to express the thoughts, feelings, and emotions that we all are apprehensive to talk about in a public setting with others.

Fuda moved back to Miami, Florida to finish what he began. He set out to launch his independent artist career and took steps to begin his first album, “The Stay Free Movement,” which released November 2007. Fudakochi had been working feverishly on this album and has released it to bring you music to evoke your memories and incite your soul.

He wants to show everyone what it means to be free to be yourself and also how to love you, starting from within. This album is a very emotional tribute of what Fudakochi has had to endure to reach this pinnacle point of his career. It is through his musical styling and lyrical content that you will hear his love for music and a love for self.

From his thought provoking song, “Black Jesus” to the relative Bushonomic song titled, “Get By,” the spirit of hope can be felt if you just believe in yourself and the power of faith.

Fudakochi is a soul artist from Miami (Overtown) with extensive experience in songwriting and music production. He is looking to generate resurgence in a genre that is said to be dead.
