Biography
Circle Round the Sun is the folk/acoustic group of Marie Trontell, Jay Wilensky, and Chris Bukata. Jay's warm baritone and Marie's rich alto, complemented by Chris' sizzling lead guitar, let the group perform an eclectic mix of great acoustic songs with a special emphasis on duets and sensuous harmonies. They do both original tunes and covers. Their influences include great singer-songwriters like Dave Carter, Michael Smith, Cheryl Wheeler, and Tom Rush.
Jay and Marie met as members of New Jersey's Folk Project and formed Circle Round the Sun. After meeting Chris at a jam session, they were awed by his charm and guitar chops and invited him to join the group. Together, they bring sweet harmonies to great songs. Over the last six years, Circle Round the Sun has performed in venues as diverse as radio, concerts, festivals, benefits, and coffee houses. The group is available for public, private, and benefit performances throughout New Jersey and nearby areas of New York and Pennsylvania. Video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2h3-eT_OQOM
