Biography
Guns on the Roof hail from Leeds, England and pull their influences from the record collections of their parents from seventies and early eighties punk, combined with modern day American bands such as Green Day and Rancid. They released their debut album " Pure Punk Rock Therapy " in late 2005 and imediately created an impression in the U.K. scene. 2008 has seen great success with the "Last Orders" video being selected for The Riot Show on MTV 2 and air play on The Mike Davies Show on BBC radio 1, Bruce Dickinson Rock Show on BBC radio 6, XFM and The Punk Radio Cast. October sees the highly anticipated release of their new album " New Frustration " which is already recieving outstanding reviews. GOTR are one of the U.K’s hardest working bands, over the past two years they have clocked up thousands of touring miles and supported established bands such as Rancid, The Misfits, Stiff Little Fingers, Dead Kennedys, The Anti Nowhere League, Spunge, U.K. Subs, The Briggs and The Meteors to name but a few. The bands passion and excitement coupled with their youthful energy has won them an increasing fan base wherever they play. This is the next generation of U.K. punk. They are Guns on the Roof.
