Once in a lifetime an artist or band comes along that is so unique, so fresh and so original that it starts a whole new trend for the rest of the music industry to follow, Herrick is one such band.

With intricate harmonies and a distinctive sound that combines the best of folk, rock, blues and country, Herrick shatters the current country music mold and creates a new path for it to follow.
A true One-Of-A-Kind Band.

While other independent artists sit in the shadows, waiting for their "big break", Herrick is out there working... Herrick has already seen things that most artists could only dream of. And surprisingly, they have done all of this with no record deal.

Formed in Spokane Washington, this four-piece is no overnight sensation. Over the many years together they have written their own music, including the new single, "Do You Love Me", literally playing thousands of shows all across America.
As Herrick's reputation spreads, great opportunities keep rolling in. From clubs to arenas, Herrick have already been selected to open for acts like, Kenny Chesney, Hank Williams Jr., Zac Brown Band, Miranda Lambert, to name a few. And that's just the beginning.

Herrick is dedicated to the tradition of the road-warrior in a way most modern artists don't understand. Following in the footsteps of their musical heros, taking their music from town to town and building their audience from the ground up.
"People have asked us why we spend so much time touring... We know it's not the path most country artists take but for us it is what moves us forward." Says Donna. "People get what we do when they see us perform live. They understand what we are all about when we hit the stage. They are why we do what we do. Getting up in front of a group of people, no matter how big or small, whether they know us or not...whether they even like country music. We give everything we've got. And our fans react to it."

Herrick is comprised of, Donna (Mandolin/Lead vocals), Kerry Herrick (Bass/ Vocals), Jeff Bradshaw (Drums/ Percussion), and Jefferson Rogers (Lead Guitar/ Lap Steel/Acoustic). The band is brimming with showmanship and attitude with tight/strong vocals & harmonies. Herrick's live high energy performance translates seamlessly to the new album, "New Dance".

Full of heartfelt lyrics, their music is dynamic and appealing, yet it is unconstrained by "formulas" for hit songs. It's real, it's earthy and it doesn't pull any punches when it hits you right in the gut.
"These songs are truly HERRICK", Says Donna. "We were so tired of hearing, "You guys are incredible Live", "You're so much better live than on the EP!" Don't get me wrong, it is a great compliment to our live performance. But this time around you will hear Herrick as Songwriters, Vocalists, Musicians and Co-Producers."
Collaborating with producers Michael Bonagura and Buddy Cannon, Herrick has truly pushed themselves to new heights both as Song writers and as performers on the new album.
"This is our first full length album. This is the first time it's really been Herrick. The first time we have not been held back musically. We found each other and ourselves," says Donna. Bassist/Vocalist Kerry Herrick adds, "Donna's voice is astonishing. So many artists these days let their voices be discombobulated by computers. Donna doesn't do that. She doesn't need to. She can walk into a room and kick your butt."
"We never stop writing, "Says Donna, "But when we finalize a song, we always sit together In a room and work the song from top to bottom. Every song is truly HERRICK. Through & through. We tap into our emotions and let it ride..."Donna adds, "We don't write to a template or try and calculate how a tune might sell in some market. It just comes out of us naturally as we pull a song together. It's very organic. Of course it's great when someone comes up and tells you how much one of your songs touched them," comments Donna. "But we write music for ourselves first. It's the only way we know how to make music. And we've found that what we are feeling or going through at the time is often what's happening in everyone's life."
The songs written by Herrick run the gamut of emotions, alternating at times between seething rage and a bruised vulnerability. With Donna's powerful vocals, pummeling mandolin riffs, and swaggering attitude, It sounds a bit like what might have happened had Led Zeppelin been fronted by "a chick."

The band has diverse influences like Ann Wilson (Heart), Ryan Adams, Audioslave, Dwight Yoakum, Merle Haggard, The Eagles, Emmylou Harris, Led Zeppelin, Rush, Maroon 5, Waylon Jennings, The Band, Evanescence and more... it's no wonder their music combines many elements from different musical styles into a new and unique blend.

Fans label the band "A Breath of Fresh Air". Different is very intriguing, and Herrick has been winning fans and music insiders over with every show they play. Their innate instinct for creating high quality music has helped Herrick stand out from the crowd as they tour to standing room only crowds across the country.

When Herrick take the stage you see them and the spell is complete. You see them where they truly belong - where they are meant to be. Donna's pioneering vocal, a kind of audible kiss, a blurted confession backed by a fierce mandolin. Jefferson's master guitar sounds, Kerry's legendary bass beats combined with his tight harmony blend. Bradshaw's magnificent wash of drums and cymbals full of passion. All of this through a dizzying, hour-long crescendo until the final band hit.

Herrick is taking their music to their audience to stand beside their idols making their own distinct mark in music. Herrick is confident that you will want to listen to every song along the way.

  There has been no shortage of female artists with powerful voices in country music. Now, you can ad... There has been no shortage of female artists with powerful voices in country music. Now, you can add Donna Herrick to a list that includes such artists as Martina McBride, Jennifer Nettles and Dolly Parton. Herrick also includes Kerry Herrick, Jefferson Rogers and Zach Ballard, all of which are great musicians and add to Herrick’s unique sound. However, it’s Donna’s vocals that manage to set Herrick’s music from other bands. With the release of the CD, “New Dance,” Herrick has established itself as a high-energy band that’s very diverse. The CD has a combination of country, classic rock and R&B that is very refreshing. This is one of the CDs you can just play all the way through, and listen to over and over again.
  
  It’s been almost three years since I first heard “Walk a Mile.” It still remains one of my favorites, and I’m glad the band decided to use the story to make it the first track on the CD. It sets the tone for the entire album and gives a new listener a sneak preview of the range of Donna’s voice.
  
  Herrick’s new single, “Do You Love Me,” is a story to which many couples can unfortunately relate – staying in a relationship and going through the motions, while wondering if the other person’s feelings for them has changed. It’s a familiar story, but the vocals on this song make it heartbreaking when Donna pleads, “Do you love me/Baby, I just gotta know/Do you love me, do you love me/If you don’t, then let me go.”
  
  I also love the superb instrumentation in “Do You Love Me”. It just feels like the addition of a mandolin on the song makes the sound complete.
  
  Another of my favorite songs is “Drive,” which talks about wanting to back to the hometown. Donna sings, “Sometimes I miss my hometown/I know my friends are still around/I’d like to go back there again.” The lyrics and music of this song just seem so haunting and reflective that it’s hard not to think about where you’re from while listening. The description of the town in the song paints a peaceful image, and it’s seems that going back would provide the perfect remedy for the hustle and bustle of a fast-paced life.
  
  When I listen to a CD, I like to hear unique songs or at least a new perspective on an old idea. There’s a lot of that on this CD, but one of the best songs is “Satan and Grandma.” It’s one of those titles that catches your eye when you look at the track listing. I know I was very curious about this song. It’s actually a sweet song that tells the story of a woman’s faith. Donna sings, “He tried his best to test her faith/When he put grandpa in his grave/And he talked my grandma into blamin’ herself/ Yeah, Satan knew my grandma well.”
  
  This a complete album that is sure to satisfy most musical tastes. Through strong vocals, great music, and emotional lyrics, Herrick has released a winner.

When you're trying to describe a band who doesn't necessarily fit in one genre, has been together for years doing phenomenal things that other bands and artists only dream about, and the band is so tightly in sync that creativity and extraordinary musical ideas just seem to flow to you like a leaf on the edge of a lake, then you've come close to accurately identifying the musical genius of Herrick.
  
  Herrick is comprised of four members who have known each other for many years while growing up in Spokane, Washington. In fact, members (and spouses) Donna and Kerry Herrick met on a blind date in junior high and married in high school. Donna is on vocals, and plays the mandolin and guitar, while hubby Kerry plays the bass and lends his vocal talents to the group as well. The remaining members are Jefferson Rogers (guitar, lap steel, banjo) and Jeff Bradshaw (drums and percussion). With Intricate harmonies and a distinctive sound that combines the best of folk, rock, blues, and country, Herrick shatters the current country music mold, creating a path for it to observe what a real one of a kind band does. Writing their own music, they've managed to impress the masses, while remaining true to their core values and themselves. The foursome has already been selected to open for acts like Kenny Chesney, Hank Williams Jr., the Zac Brown Band, and Miranda Lambert, just to name a few.
  
  Herrick loves touring as it gives them an opportunity for music lovers to see just what they're bringing. Performing live is a serious task for the band, and they confidently state that each member of the group can burn his or her instrument down to the ground when it comes time to perform. They are all respected as top notch musicians who are serious about giving everything they have to their fans. What's even more surprising is that the group has accomplished it all without a record deal. The band's latest album, "New Deal", won the 2012 IMA award for best country song for "Cry Memphis". Donna could sing a song acapella with her powerful voice and great vocal range and get a standing ovation. But when you listen to her feisty vocals or tender singing backed by her own playing and that of other group members, you know you're dealing with true talent.
  
  Donna Herrick is quick to give praise to her counterparts, confidently stating that "Jefferson is one of the best guitarists in Nashville or anywhere else for that matter. He's definitely a keeper! Jeff is new to the band. Jefferson brought him in recently and we could immediately see why. The two were in a band together in college. She continued, "Our music distinguishes us from other artists. Our sound is not the usual "Country" sound out of Nashville. I really think it is in part due to our wide span of musical influences. But also, we have to give credit to the love we have to create a song that stands on its own, and that's not just a copy of something that is already out there. Where's the fun in that? There are not many female fronted Country bands out there either."
  
  As far as fan support is concerned, Donna says, "New Dance has been a real accomplishment for us. It took 3 years and we re-cut the album four times! Life just kept getting in the way with touring, new producers, band changes, studio changes, and new music. Everything got in the way that you would ever think possible. We kept writing new songs and replacing old songs, so there were too many to choose from. We had no label deal, so it was up to us to get the job done. And with no budget, that's not an easy task. We were one of the first Country bands in Nashville to use Kickstarter. Our fans stepped in and paid to finish the album. We were so excited (and still are) that we can say our fans wanted it that bad! Everyone thinks that their fans are the best, but ours really are!
