Biography

Costa Nova is not a band. Costa Nova is a single organism. Four elements working in unison, pouring together their unique powers to
explode off the stage in a kinetic reaction of sound and energy. Passionate, incendiary, sinuous, and delicate, Costa Nova flows wherever the music demands.

Alex lays the foundation from behind the drums with powerful, intricate rhythms and an uncanny dynamic feel. Gilday matches him with his bass, carving grooves so deep you need a map to find your way out. Then Andy sets it all ablaze: his searing guitar is the white heat you feel blistering your brain pan just before he soothes you with the cool rush of another beautiful outer-space melody. And finally, propelled by these forces, Kevin's voice soars outward, alternately commanding and vulnerable, to embrace you and pull you deep within the songs.

With influences ranging from classic rock, Britpop, and punk, to folk, dub, and trip hop, Costa Nova feeds all inspiration into the forge of creativity to fashion a sound that is undeniably unique and utterly irresistible. This is the sound of the future. The sound of Costa Nova setting the world on fire.

Costa Nova perform originals and covers in Electric, Acoustic and Semi Acoustic settings.
