Former English teacher Mark Radcliffe offers a rare blend of superbly-crafted songs, passionate vocals and fierce musicianship. A former ad writer as well, he now applies his wordsmithing to intimate lyrics that weave listeners through a variety of emotional landscapes. Performing live on both guitar and piano, Mark's infectious melodies, percussive rhythms, dynamic stage presence and heartfelt vocals create a sound that rivals many full bands and is sure to leave you humming his songs days after you've seen him.

Mark is steadily winning over audiences around the country with his new album THE SEA BEFORE US, produced by Rob Giles (of The Rescues) and Rich Jacques, and mastered by multiple Grammy-winner Gavin Lurssen. THE SEA BEFORE US features various radio-friendly tracks like "In the sun," "Tumbleweed," "Breaking up the band," "Other side of the pillow" and more. Evoking flashes of Chris Isaak, The Eagles, Del Amitri, Crowded House, U2 and The Fray, the album overflows with smile-inducing melodies throughout each of its 11 songs. "In the sun" has been getting national radio play on over 40 radio stations, recently reaching spot #45 on the "Hot 100 Singles" chart for adult/ contemporary.

Mark has performed throughout the country, in venues such as The Bitter End and the Rockwood Music Hall in NYC, Eddie's Attic (ATL), Club Passim (BOS), Mississippi Studios (Portland), and various LA venues like the Knitting Factory, Genghis Cohen, Room 5 Lounge, Tangier and more.
