Biography
Sahanghee "Song" Hahn is a singer and songwriter, composing in a style she calls "Acoustic RnB." Korean pansori music, rhythm & blues, and anything folk have inspired the melodies written off her Martin 6-string guitar. Born in Seoul, Korea and raised near Philadephia, she writes about her 'soul experiences' as a woman, Asian-American, and Christian.
2006 was a big year for Sahanghee. She won a Philly-wide singing contest and performed the National Anthem for the NFL Eagles during their New Year's Eve game against the Atlanta Falcons. She also modeled on the pages of VOGUE and TeenPeople magazine and was featured with her music on CBS' mini-featurette, Vocation/Vacation.
The solo artist also produced her debut album, Broke Heart Solutions, with Scott Herzog at Third Story Recording. 9 songs in 9 months, Broke Heart Solutions proved to her and to others that with her God, all things are possible.
Now after a short hiatus, Sahanghee is back at the drawing board. She continues writing, performing, and recording, as she prepares for a new project.
She just wants to keep pushing the envelope.
