Artist Information
Biography
Singing in both French and English, this Canadian singer songwriter has worked with groups Folle Avoine and Hart Rouge, boasting an impressive list of accomplishments: Six albums, several radio hits and tours across Canada, Europe and the United States. Since working solo, this talented singer songwriter has released two solo albums which have received excellent reviews.
She has charmed audiences in Canada and abroad with her brand of pop/folk-rock music. She has played at numerous folk festivals, special events and television and radio shows and shared the stage with the likes of Tom Cochrane, Francis Cabrel, Daniel Lavoie and Johnny Cash! Some have compared her songs and style to that of Sheryl Crow's and Shawn Colvin, two singer songwriters she particularly loves, but Annette has a style all her own. Her 2009 album release, You gotta laugh, is a very positive album full of strong melodic hooks, powerful lyrics and exquisite musical performances. And in 2010, Annette released a new French album which is making it's mark with 2 radio singles! Annette's songs weave through life's paradoxes with a mix of compassion, contemplative detachment, humor and straight 'shoot from the hip ness!" www.annettemusic.ca
