Músicas intermináveis para Viagem
(“Endless music for tripping”)
powerfull duo (guitar + drums) from Brazil

M.i.p.V plays instrumental music which the band defines as Trip Rock, from Lounge to distortion, experiencing different sounds and rhythms (from jazz to eletronic), only with guitar and drums.
The name, M.i.p.V, is a abridgement of Músicas intermináveis para Viagem and the translation in english is “Endless music for Tripping”.
The authorial project was created by Laura L (guitars) and M.i.p.V had its first performance in Porto Alegre (RS/Brazil), April of 2004.
Recently, the M.i.p.V did a tour on Europe, when participate of the Ferrara Buskers Festival, in Ferrara/Italy (ago/2008), and did a total of 19 concerts in 6 countries (Belgium, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Italy and France).
The first M.i.p.V's CD, which is self titled, has been released in 2006 and the band already played in many importants cities in Brazil and twice in Berlin (Germany/2006 and 2008). Besides the band plays in its city (Porto Alegre) frequently and has songs playing in a locals radios (Ipanema FM, Unisinos FM) and radio's programmes in Portugal (Nazaré FM) and London (Resonance FM).
The first album had Marcelo Sirtoli (ex-member) on the drums and the duo had been together since 1998, sharing tracks for plays and compositions for their first band, Projeto Uivo, that quit in 2004.
The new drummer, Dudu Essarts, is in the band since april/2007.
M.i.p.V is a new revelation in the brazilian instrumental music. In 2007, the band participated of the festivals Pib - of the new instrumental music - that happened in Sesc Pompéia, São Paulo/SP/Brazil; and MorroStock, (RS/Brazil). In 2008, played in the Gig Festival V (Porto Alegre/Br).
Laura L and M.i.p.V did as well a soundtrack to brazilian film "3 Efes", of the director Carlos Gerbase, and this movie is available on internet in the sites: www.3efes.com.br and http://cinema.terra.com.br/. The film was released in Brazil in december/2007.
Perhaps, the band had some songs in TV's soundtracks.
