Artist Information
Biography
The soul behind Plasticine Porter works by day as an elementary school teacher. From years of playing garages and basements as a trippy bass player, he is finally ready to step out onto the porch. The rich culture of mountain music in the heart of the Blue Grass, Lexington, Kentucky, has permeated his every pore and, through a deep injection of psychedelic pop, explodes with this demo. Plasticine Porter has musical training, along with his teaching degree, from the University of Oregon. He has worked as a sideman in a multitude of groups ranging from Jazz, Cajun, Pop Rock, and Hawaiian Luah to the Blues.
Recently the project has been transported to the Mecca of Sin: Vegas, Baby! Playing to a whole new audience, with much criticism and a higher level of showmanship, Plasticine Porter is carving out their name in joshua trees, yucca and mesquite.

During a rather intense lightnin' storm, Plasticine Porter was warming up for a marathon jam session when he found the Lost Chord, but as he clawhammered where none had clawhammered before...KaBoom! a bolt of MegaMassiveBigassWattage split him two.

some folks will do anything to pay off those pesky student loans. In Mr. Porter's case, this implies an ill-fated attempt at getting an endorsement from Mastercard that would go something like...Steamship: 1 million pounds, smokestack of said steamship: 100 thousand pounds, ....Enlightened Banjo player clawhammering from said Smokestack of said Steamship.....fucking PRICELESSS they didn't go for it.

Just big enough to pack the Bass Fiddle, 5-String Resonator, cowbell and drum machine...this Silver Camel gets us from Gig to Gig and stops for a pee on occasion. No Disrespect, Brother. Nature.
