Biography:

Rose C. Belk , a native of Pineville, North Carolina, is a recording artist, songwriter and minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Rose is anything, but the ordinary gospel artist rather a minstrel of God’s presence. Aside from spending time with her family, Rose works with young single moms through her IMPACT program. She is also a contributing writer for Optimal Living Magazine.

Rose began her singing career as a very young child and gave her life to Christ at the age of twelve. The youngest of eight children, Rose was most impressed by the love God has shown her. Her parents were very instrumental in this impression and encouraging Rose to use her God-given talent of singing to His Glory. From this, Rose recognized her foundation in Christ and her gift to sing.

Rose cultivated her gift, by singing throughout the East Coast. Rose is a former member of the Praise & Worship team at Victory Christian Center (VCC) in Charlotte, NC, where she has been an active member for 27 years. She now, serves as the founder and director of the VCC Young Adult Praise Team and VCC Praise Team III.

Rose has opened for Helen Baylor and Phil Driscoll and sang at many festivals, conferences, churches, conventions and other special events. Rose is the recipient of the Bank of America and Cultural Calendar’s Heritage award for “Vocal Performance.” In 2000, she released her first CD, “My Song of Praise.” Rose ministered with Ron Kenoly when she participated as a choir member for his Christmas video shoot. Rose just recently won the March 2010 I Got Nexx competition which was hosted by Grammy Award Winner Shirley Ceasar.

The pure sound of Rose C. Belk’s anointed voice has brought many into the very presence of God. You will be moved by Rose’s new release, Simply Rose- Nothing But Praise.   Think you have what it takes? Are you a talented singer, musician, actor, comedian, or rapper? If you are any of these, you should enter the I Got Nexx talent contest put on by gospel music artist Shirley Caesar.
  Upload your best performance video-you will have to pay $25.00 for the privilege however-and your video will be voted on by Shirley Caesar’s team and fans. A winner will be announced on the 29th of each month with voting starting on the 1st of the month. The grand prize winner will receive a prize of $25,000, 2nd place gets $15,000, and 3rd place receives $10,000.
  Pastor Caesar has certainly been busy lately. In addition to I Got Nexx, she released the gospel music video for “Playground in Heaven”, was featured on Best of the Stellar’s on Gospel Music Channel, and will be featured in the April 5th issue of Jet Magazine. Upcoming concert appearances include Carnegie Hall on April 28th and the Stellar Awards Gospel Music Mother’s Day Celebration on May 9th. You will also see her soon on the Mo’Nique show and Good Day Atlanta.

  Monique Clyburn first heard about the Important
  Maternal Principles and Christian
  Training program on the radio.
  Last Saturday was her first time attending a
  meeting at the Stratford Richardson YMCA
  where the organization holds meetings on the
  weekends.
  “We talked about different stories of single
  women from the Bible and we also talked
  about time management,” Clyburn, a single
  mother of children ages 3 and 1, said. “I like
  the openness,” the 21-year-old added.
  Clyburn is one of several young women who
  attend the free IMPACT training classes for
  single mothers ages 16 to 25. Childcare is provided
  as well as transportation within a fivemile
  radius.
  IMPACT’s mission is to help single women
  fulfill God’s plan for their lives and provide
  them with workplace development, time management
  skills, continuing education, etiquette
  and parenting skills.
  Rose Belk started the free program with the
  hopes of targeting single young mothers that
  reside along the West Boulevard corridor; although
  anyone is welcome to attend the workshops.
  “We’re hoping to impact their lives,” Belk
  said. “We want to teach them about being responsible
  and taking care of their children.”
