Biography
Debayres is today an undisputed benchmark and one of the first bands to venture into this increasingly popular style, called Tango Fusion. Awarded with the EQUINOCCIO LATIN AWARDS OF SOUTH AMERICA 2007 prize and the official music of Gardel Awards 2005 and 2006, Debayres has released 2 albums (TANGO, 2004 and TANGO VIVO, 2008)
In their first album "TANGO"(2005), they achieved a unique personality, attained by the original fusion of pop, rock, and electronics with the strengh and passion of tango. The result, a variety of emotions going through instrumental tracks and tango-pop songs with the singer´s particular voice. Their lyrics also feature different languages, like french, english, spanish and japanese.
In "TANGO VIVO"(second album) their inspiration goes further, incorporating new rythms and instruments, such us funk, folklore, and electronic and acoustic guitars. A perfect match of pop, electronica and tango, with the complex arrangements of Osi and the soulful voice of Sawa, reasserting and improving the unique personality attained by their debut album.
Debayres’s music has been released in more than 8 different countries and their 3rd album “Tango Dosis”, released this October 2011 features great invited artists and musicians.
Their concerts also have a visual production featuring digital art and dancer’s choreographies which have been performed in different scenarios and festivals around Argentina, Mexico, Paraguay, Brazil and the US. Debayres showcased at SXSW 2009 and 2010 festival (Austin, Texas) and they have been invited by Carlos Buono to participate in "Uma noite em Buenos Aires", a show which took them on a tour around main Brazilian cities during March 2009.
Debayres closed this 2011 with a tour in China, invited to the “Nanning International Folk Song Arts Festival”, where they offered their Show in many cities nearby.
Meanwhile, Debayre’s music tours around the world, positioning itself as one of the best bands of its genre. .
