Biography

Enter a place where

water sings,

words dance,

and voices fly!

Illuminating poetry, dynamic oratory, and incredible music made from traditional instruments and unconventional devices chosen for their unusual sonic possibilities. Musician/composer Daniel Arite and poet/orator Thandiwe Shiphrah produce engaging listening experiences for lovers of new music and those who revel in the lyricism of language. Their “audio-collages” are characterized by a playful inventiveness that results from the variety of compositional methods used to create them. Traditional instruments like guitar, keyboard, and banjo, mix with household percussion, water, and vocal utterances to give a broad range of color to their sound.
