Artist Information

Biography

Bilingual (English & French) singer/songwriter Kari Tieger, the quintessential romantic, with both a flair for the dramatic and a spiritual side. She wrote the radio theme for a WPRO (WABC affiliate) call-in talk show, has created musical themes for children's theatre, and is currently co-producing a new original Broadway style Vampire Musical entitled Nightsong, to be performed in the fall of 2009. Her most recent French album, Nos Mots (Our Words) was voted Album of the Year in the 2009 Motif Magazine Music Awards.

Kari also enjoys composing short classical and New Age pieces, especially for strings; a number of these pieces have been featured in webcasts at Bowed Radio.com. In 2007 she collaborated with a French Buddhist monk on an introduction to Zen meditation CD entitled Zazen. Pump Audio frequently uses her short musical themes for cable TV on A&E, the Oprah Winfrey Network, the Biography Channel, NYC TV, and MTV, among others. In 2006 Kari was inducted to the Cambridge Who's Who as Kari Tieger, Recording Artist, and in 2009 to the Premiere Who's Who.

Setlist

Due to hand problems, I rarely perform live anymore, preferring to concentrate on writing and recording. I'm currently working on several projects in the studio.
However, when I did perform regularly as a trio, quartet, or solo, my sets were typically 35-45 minutes long, and contained a mixture of original songs with vocals and instrumentals.
