Biography
Mike has performed with many greats including Burt Bacharach, Tom Jones, Diana Ross, Doc Severinsen, Jaco Pastorius, and many Latin American artists in the Miami, FL area. Mike's experiences as a performer/composer have included travels to Europe, Canada, South America, and Mexico and in the US from Miami, to Dallas/Ft. Worth, to Minneapolis/Saint Paul. Mike also earned a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of North Texas--quite a high honor--and has extensive experience in higher education. Some of his songs draw from this experience, such as "Assistant Professor Blues" and "When We Were Friends." Other songs draw from subjects of love, loss, social messages, and just about anything else you can think of.
Instrumentation
Mike Bogle solo piano/vocal up to a 4 or 5-piece rock band.
Discography
Other Life (1994) and Eternal Family (2004) have had extensive radio airplay and are available on iTunes. Eternal Family reached #28 on the JazzWeek jazz chart based on airplay in 2004 and continues to get spins.
