Biography

Lloyd Mac Hardy, a Nova Scotia singer/songwriter, speaks to the hearts of working people. Using songs built from a life time of experiences with the folks of this country. A real bard, cut from the fabric of Canadian life.
Writing and playing songs for most of the last 30 years, Lloyd started performing at the request of the Harbour Folk Society in Halifax-Dartmouth, N.S. From this historic stage in eastern Canada, Lloyd found his voice. It was on this stage that Lloyd met and became friends with Ed McCurdy, writer of that famous song "Last Night I Had The Strangest Dream". Ed would invite Lloyd to come and perform his songs at events Ed was hosting. One only got to perform at these functions with Ed's invitation. Lloyd got to meet Folk Singer/Songwriter Rod MacDonald at one of these functions.Lloyd's presentation has found a home in many coffee houses, Variety and benefitshows, as well as festivals around Nova Scotia.

Lloyd was invited to play Stanfest 2009 in Canso, Nova Scotia, and was well received.

Lloyd appeared on CBC television in the series "The Week The Women Left (Tatamagouche), which is still being aired.

Lloyd performed a show at the GLENORA BISTRO, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, October 2010.

Lloyd went to Apple Valley, California, and performed a show for DREAM MEDIA ENTERPRISES in November, 2010.
Lloyd was chosen by DREAM MEDIA ENTERPRISES to be one of their TWELVE FEATURED ARTISTS for the month of December, 2010

Lloyd has received honorable mention in the Independent Singer/Songwriter Association song contest for one song in 2008, and two songs in 2009.
Lloyd has received honorable mention in the Billboard World Song Contest in 2009, and again in 2010.

Lloyd's songs are played on 18-20 internet radio stations.

One or two of Lloyd's songs have recently (February 2011) been added to the playlist of Radio UK International in England.

Lloyd has appeared as an extra in the following movies; (1) DevCon 4, (2) Martha inc, (3) Shattered City (4) Moby Dick, and (5) Haven (from a Stephen King novel).
