Billboard Magazine award recipient, Laurie Dameron, has been playing the guitar for over 40 years and singing even longer. Between solo performances and performances with her band, Laurie D and the Blues Babes, she has performed for hundreds of venues in and out of Colorado over the past 20 years.

Laurie is a working musician and entertains as a solo artist in a variety of styles including folk, instrumental, pop, country, blues, and jazz. This enables her to perform at a variety of venues; bars and clubs, restaurants, wine tasting rooms, artist receptions (her favorite because she loves the beautiful art and enjoys meeting creative people), coffee houses, House Concerts, weddings and private events. She has one of the best day jobs in the world entertaining seniors at retirement homes and assisted living facilities.

Laurie is also an active environmentalist and often incorporates her environmental/social originals into her shows and talks about issues to help educate audiences. She has performed for the Rocky Mountain chapter of Sierra Club and is a volunteer for ECOCYCLE in Boulder Colorado.

In 2012 Laurie launched a new project; "What Can I Do?" multimedia environmental concerts. It is a 60-75 minute keynote presentation with photography, video, info and of course live music.

She is also very involved with homelessness and mental health issues and has volunteered with Boulder Carriage House, a day shelter and also performed for Musicians in Action a nonprofit in Denver is an ingenious organization using music events to raise awareness and resources for Colorado's homeless population. She is also on the Chinook Clubhouse's Speaker Bureau and speaks about mental illness to high school students and colleges.

Dameron has produced and arranged three CDs. The first, "Utah Dream", is all original folk, pop and blues. The second, "Looking Through the Blue", is all original jazz compositions. The latest project is 12 of Laurie’s favorite jazz standards and one original, the title cut, "I Can’t Wait to See You Again", which won an award in the 16th and 17th Billboard Magazine World Song Contest. Dameron does all the guitar work on all three CDs is me except for two songs on Utah Dream and does much of the percussion as well.

In March of 2010 Laurie did a tour of New Zealand consisting of seven solo concerts and two concerts with Laurie D and the Blues Babes. She opened for Pacific Curls, Her Make Believe Band and also for New Zealand’s legend Midge Marsden.

Past performances include:

Provided music for Art on the Walls sponsored by Boulder County Arts Alliance every month at Barnes & Noble from June 2006- June 2009

Provided music for Boulder Art Association and Longmont Artists Guilds annual art show in 2007 and 2008

Has performed regularly at BookCliff Vineyards and Redstone Meadery in Boulder and Caitano Winery in Lyons, CO

hosted Women's Songwriter Night at the Rock n Soul Cafe in Boulder from January of 2007 to May 2009

Has performed at Boulder Creek Festival, Capital Hill People's Fair and A Taste of Colorado, Golden Fine Arts Festival, Highlands Ranch Jazz Festival, Burro Days Festival.

Has performed regularly at the D Note, Mead Street Station and Dazzle Jazz Club

Opened for Lionel Young Band

Opened for The Informants and Delta Sonics

Opened for Chris Daniels and the Kings

Received an award of Honorable mention for her song, "I Can't Wait to See You Again", in the 16th and 17th Annual Billboard World Song Contest.

The same song was entered in the 2008 Australian Song Contest and I Can't Wait to See You Again, made it into the finals.

Performed at the 2008 Democratic National Convention.

Laurie's song, "What Can I Do?" made it to the top ten finalists in the 2011 Tipperary Peace Song Contest
