Biography

Over the course of four years, MiniBoone has made Brooklyn their own personal protectorate, decimating human audiences while twisting melodies and swinging instruments wildly above their heads. With three rotating front-men and a rhythm section made of angry rotating swords, they channel the mechanical abandon of Devo while evoking the lyrical resonance and emotional power of Springsteen.

Their 2011 EP, On MiniBoone Mountain, is another proud notch in the NYC quintet’s belt, another batch of ingredients in their witches’ brew of caffeinated, unabashedly-delivered power pop. “Brand New Thing” is a prime demonstration of the band’s frantic energy, replete with galloping layers of drums and bass, explosions of guitar noise, and tripled-teamed vocals.

MiniBoone's wide-eyed energy and enthusiasm has garnered them invitations to perform at Bonnaroo, NXNE, and CMJ. They have shared stages with artists ranging from Real Estate to Art Brut to The B-52’s, and have earned loving nods from NPR, Village Voice, and Spinner.

MiniBoone will be releasing their first full-length record on Ernest Jenning Record Co. in summer 2013.
