Biography
With a stage presence shaped by 12 years of touring with alternative bands in the Midwest, a background in liturgical chant, and masterful poetic lyrics punctuated by percussive guitar accents and looping technology, Michael Plishka has been entrancing and amazing audiences with his woven aural mindscapes.
"what I experienced last night was more than I ever expected... your CD DOES NOT do justice to your talents. Although I do like the CD, I was absolutely blown away last night. It's hard to believe that I was speechless, but when I got home, all I could (tell my husband) is "WOW". The way you deliver is amazing. You touch people's souls. You certainly touched my soul in a way I cannot explain -- in a way that it hasn't been touched in a while. You have a gift and I think it's an honor to the world that you are sharing it. You have been more of a spiritual guide than you can imagine. Thank you." -- ZK (A fan's letter after a performance)

Spit Sputter, Blow.. (2000)
“From the earliest cave painters to the modern artist sitting in a dark room where the glow of the screen bathes her face; from the ancient musicians playing drums prior to the hunt, to current-day maestros, there is a commonality in all artist expression, a commonality born of the human condition,”(Cd Liner).
This world view shapes the 12 songs on his new album, which include “I Woke Up This Morning,” “Seven Sisters,” “Snowflake on My Tongue,” “When You Love Me,” “And the River Flows…,” “Please Dance With Me,” “Move,” “Bernard’s Waltz,” “Einstein’s Time,” “Dance in the Rain (Love You, Kiss You, Sure Do Miss You),” “Dream of Light (Soar My Soul),” and the title track “Spit, Sputter, Blow.”
