Biography
Java Gospel was formed in 1998 when a group in Betlehemskyrkan (Bethlehem Church in Gothenburg which is a part of The Covenant Church of Sweden) asked Ulf and Åsa Nomark to do a gospel project with their current group of singers. The project turned out to be successful and Java Gospel was formed. The choir has grown from 15 to the current 90 members. The choir has toured, recorded two CD's and appeared on serveral national TV and radio shows in Sweden. The choir has worked with gospel artists such as Jessy Dixon, Walter Whitman and Chris Harris.

Discography
In 2005, Java Gospel released their first CD: "Resa mellan tvivel och tro", which is a project in swedish where visual graphics and audio are combined in two a multi-media experience for both body and soul.
The release of "In good company" was held at Hard Rock Café in Gothenburg, Sweden on the 5'th of October 2007. Three songs from the CD has been awarded in the Gospel/Contemporary Christian Category of the international song contest Unisong. (In good company - first prize 2009, Lord I depend on You - top 20 2009 and Without - top 20 2008). Setlist
Java Gospel do different types of sets depending on the type of concert or service their attending. This can vary from full concerts (approx. 1,5 hours) with their own material, christmas concerts, gospel concerts and appearences for companies, shorter sets in services etc. A part from their own songs they also sing songs of Israel Houghton, Kirk Franklin, Fred Hammond. They have also collaborated with Chicago based singer and pastor Chris Harris, Sr. who also sing lead on one of the songs on the CD; "Lord I depend on you".
