Biography
Squidley is a one man instrumental band consisting of banjo,guitar,drums and sampler. Its a unique combination of hyper rhythms,roots and some alien sounds. I began as a member of The Buck Dewey Big Band from Boston,Massachusetts which had 6 solid years of groundbreaking fun touring and recording. Highlights included sharing the stage with diverse artists from Patti Smith to Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, playing the North by Northeast fesival in Toronto, doing a video for ESPN X games, and fighting Aids as part of the Aids Walk concerts in Boston. Here are some influences-, The Stanley Brothers,Tom Waits,Ennio Morricone Most older blues,folk and country, Raymond Scott, and Bill Monroe. I also play around Austin with JWW and the Prospectors.
