Biography

Toxic Virgin have been together since 1995 and published four CDs (Love Rocket EP 1999 , Toxic Virgin CD 2000, Circle of Power CD 2001, Sulphur CD 2004) which received excellent reviews in musical publications and were highly acclaimed all over the world.
The live concerts of the five musicians from Germany, ( f.e. together with STATUS QUO,THERAPY?,DOG EAT DOG, DORO PESCH or BONFIRE), attract and convince audiences all over Germany, in Belgium and the Netherlands. The quality of this band also granted their twice repeated participation in the finals of the German Rock Music Award.
Since Juli 2007 the band is going on with the singer Angelique .

Toxic Virgin- this is rockmusic presented with energy and passion, it is a lifestyle and not a short- lived fashion.
In other words:
Rock'n Roll is coming home!

  ‘Sulphur’ is the 3rd CD of the German Melodic Hardrockband TOXIC VIRGIN. Musically it is typical German Melodic Hardrock in the style of CASANOVA, BONFIRE, MAD MAX, DOMAIN, AXXIS, BOYSVOICE... Without a doubt, this is a quality CD and highly recommended to fans of any of the mentioned bands. The songs are divided in midtempo songs, uptempo rockers and (semi) ballads, making this a very nice diverse CD. 12 tracks are included, and together with a great production, this CD is a pleasure to listen to. Highlights include “The clown” (uptempo melodic heavy rocker), “Born to run” (uptempo melodic rocker), “We’ll make it through” (nice semi ballad) and “Fallen angels” (faster uptempo melodic heavy rocker).   Neben vier Veröffentlichungen können Toxic Virgin zahlreiche
  Auftritte ( unter anderem im Vorprogramm von Doro und Bonfire)
  auf ihrer Habenseite verbuchen und konnten außerdem schon bei
  mehreren Wettbewerben im In- und Ausland punkten.
  Ihr aktuellstes Werk SULPHUR bietet einen gelungenen Querschnitt
  durch verschiedene Stile harter Musik. Flotte Heavyrocker geben
  sich mit bombastischen Stücken und gefühlvollen Balladen die
  Klinke in die Hand. “Whiskey a go go“ hingegen präsentiert
  frischen Boogie- und Bluesrock , der sofort in die Beine geht.
  Der Opener und mein persönlicher Favorit des Albums, „Evil Days“,
  glänzt mit einem hervorragenden und spannenden Aufbau und thront
  in einem super Refrain. Auf schöne Melodien und Refrains scheint
  das Quintett besonderen Wert zu legen, und so fällt jede der zwölf
  Kompositionen vor allen Dingen durch ihre Eingängigkeit auf.
  Die Jungs haben ein Händchen für gute Stücke. Bis auf den strecken-
  weise etwas gequält und verkrampft auf Emotionalität getrimmten
  Gesang ist SULPHUR eine rundum gute Angelegenheit geworden.
  Der Vollständigkeit halber sei noch erwähnt, dass das Album von
  Everon-Mastermind Oliver Phillips produziert und vom früheren
  Grobschnitt-Schlagzeuger Eroc gemastert wurde.

  Every now and then a band comes along that offers a breath of fresh air from the same old, same old we keep hearing in the way of music. Toxic Virgin are one such band, to these ears, anyway. They play 80's style melodic hard rock, with a sound that is crisp, clear, and polished, but also has an edge, rocks hard, and packs a punch. They keep it melodic but hard enough so that it doesn't sound watered down and doesn't lose its hard rock edge. This is pure, uncorrupted rock and roll, the way it used to be in the good old days, the stuff parties were made of! Toxic Virgin are influenced by bands like the Scorpions, Dokken, Bonfire, early Def Leppard, Damn Yankees, Pretty Maids, TNT, Victory, Thin Lizzy, Helix, etc. This is a classic style hard rock band that ignore all the latest trends and flavors, as if the 80's never ended! Props to 'em! And more props to 'em for being a talented band that can jam with the best of 'em! Their playing is strong and solid, and singer Markus Litsch has a powerful, gutsy voice. Toxic Virgin play REAL rock and roll (with a few ballads thrown in to balance things out. After all, what great hard rock album doesn't have a ballad or two?), something you don't see much of these days, at least not on this side of the Big Pond (these guys are from Germany), so it sure is good to see a band like this come along, who know how rock music is supposed to sound, and can also play well, to top it off, and really kick out the jams, which is a lot more than I can say about many of today's popular bands. In a perfect world, bands like Toxic Virgin would occupy the places now held by Limp Bizkit and Linkin Park. http://www.toxicvirgin
