Biography
This is a father-daughter act that was established in 2007 and has far more depth than one might expect from an emerging family-based band. The music is both family friendly and musically honest! Each vocalist stands out individually but, when combined, exhibit a musical power and harmonic blend that is as exciting as it is pleasing to the ear.
The Beckers feature Jim Becker (father, aka Beckerjim) and 15 year old daughter, Jamie, both accomplished singers and songwriters as evidenced by their strong lyrics, catchy melodies, and spot on haromony vocals. The musicianship is top notch!
Since they began performing together, Jim and Jamie have done shows at numerous clubs throughout the Los Angeles Area as well as several Fairs and music festivals.
The Beckers are the perfect act for family-friendly events as well as charitable and corporate events that need a "fun boost". The Beckers are currently recording their first duo album... a collection of 12 original tunes. The first single, "Pick Me Up" is gaining momentum on IMRadio.com.
In January 2010, Jamie released her first album "Ladybug" and sales from iTUNES are picking up steam rapidly.
This followed the most recent release by Jim called "Testosterone", the 5th album released by "Beckerjim" in 2009.
