Biography

Sporkfly recently made it's podcast debut on the very first show by Stacy In The City (http://www.stacyinthecity.com).

Sporkfly opened for Adrian Belew at The Downtown in Farmingdale, NY on Tuesday, July 19.

Sporkfly is a place for Al Katkowsky to do whatever he likes. "Everyone should have such a place", says Al, feigning speech in the third person.

The initial release from Sporkfly was an EP that went out to radio in October, 2003 and continued to chart nationally through May, 2004. The full length CD will be recorded and released in the next two months.

Sporkfly is either Al solo, or with band, running what has been referred to as a "democratic dictatorship".

Al has studied with Robert Fripp, recorded with Kramer at Noise NY (ShimmyDisc), and has gigged and all around the country and in London, UK; where he was interviewed for Greater London Radio. He also does voiceover work here in New York.
