Biography
A band from Portland, OR, Bryan Minus & The Disconnect formed in February 2010. With a DIY ethos Bryan Minus & The Disconnect have released an EP called Forage and 7” single titled Lust and most recently their debut full length Empty Skies. All have received college radio play in the US and abroad. They've played all over the Pacific NW, the West Coast and as far east as Colorado in regional shows and two west coast tours traveling in their van, Gold-digger.
After recording a solo EP Bryan Minus set out to put a new band together. Through a local wanted ad he met Jason Lanning. Bryan invited Anastasia Poirier who he played with in a band called Obscure Opus to play bass. Over the next year they had many drummers in and out before deciding to stick with their drum machine, Keith, finding it had the sound they were after. As the drummers came and went the band took it as an opportunity to try out different songs and sounds. Recorded and mixed
in April 2011 their recent album Empty Skies is the current snapshot of an evolving band.
