Biography

Adam Zadok [Zay-dock] arrived in the United States at the age of 8 when his family decided it was time to leave Tel-Aviv, Israel. 10 years after his arrival Zadok picked up the guitar and taught himself to play.

In 2004, he debut a self titled all acoustic 5 song demo where the song "Warpath" was selected for inclusion on the Acoustic Rainbow Radio Sampler (Vol. 21). Based on the strength of the song, Adam gained radio airplay at over 150 radio stations worldwide. Presently backed by a full band, "State of the Union", Adam's sophomore rock EP, has earned him a Regional Finalist spot at the 2007-08 BODOG Battle of the Bands national showcase.

Other noteworthy accomplishments include:
• Spring/Summer tour planned in support of new material.
• "Telling Lies" EP set for release April '09
• Media coverage including magazine and local newspaper articles; feature segment on NBC affiliate WGRZ (Jan. 2008)
• Two consecutive nominations for "Best Musician" in annual Best of Buffalo Contest, Buffalo, NY (2006 & 2007)
• Unsolicited Nomination by Indie Artist Radio for "Best Male Solo Artist" in the 2006 International Online Music Awards

Rocking a melody driven, indie-powerpop sound reminiscent of Foo Fighters meets Matthew Sweet, Adam's signature style and sound is now ready for a mass audience base.

"Warpath" is the perfect track to do that. Lyrically, it was our favorite and considering the current state of the world right now, its' a very relevant song.

  The compositions are catchy, with a good melody, somewhat poppy. On "Struck Out" and in the end of "Alter Ego" I even hear a hint of Middle-Eastern music! The microphone-effect starting out
  "Infectious Smile" and repeated later, is a very nice touch. My favorite is definitely "Alter Ego": great drumming on this most alt.country flavored track, featuring the acoustic guitar. "State Of The Union" is the same song that's recorded on the EP "Adam Zadok", but this is the rocking version. Adam's lyrics are still fine too, a part from "Diamond Prison" for example: "I'd
  lose myself into that diamond prison / Relax these thoughts that make me seeth /
  Regardless of that things are set in stone now / So there's no use blowing it up
  in smoke / And I am the joke..."
