The group consists of "King Dave" , "Uptown" and New artist 21 The King". The music delivered would be described as positive, uplifting lyrics that promote solid biblical teaching with a "Mid-dirty style" and sound, backed by banging beats. Performances have been labeled powerful, energetic and moving.
21 The King, teamed up with G.A.S. in Oct of 2009, has proven to be very fruitful in the music ministry, His youthful style of rapping and singing will take gospel music to a new level! His first releases will be a series of mixtapes for free download and then his highly anticipated CD release "The Bad Guy" and also a collab with G.A.S.
G.A.S has had the priviledge of opening up for several national acts such as Kirk Franklin, Skillet, Tenth Avenue North, Sanctus Real, Mercy Me, Jeremy Camp, Sarah Kelly, and others.

Another avenue of ministering is at several detention centers and correctional facilities where God has allowed the group to share their hearts with individuals in need and this has proven to be a very fruitful area.

  Not only do G.A.S from Kansas City do alternative hip-hop music with a strong Midwest and dirty sout...Not only do G.A.S from Kansas City do alternative hip-hop music with a strong Midwest and dirty south emphasis, they also encourage their listeners to choose the real alternative - the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Here you get 18 tracks of Midwest-dirty south crossover beats with a message filled with Scripture. In a sense 'The Alternative' is both a hip-hop and a teaching project. Vocal hooks and music are fused together with unique melodies as on tracks like "The Witnesses" and "The Kosmos". This is an album that grows on you as you play through. The beats and sounds have a unique edge and don't overload you with sound, instead the minimalist approach allowing the lyrics to cut through. "Adams Case" looking at the consequences of Adam's sin and "God Forbid" (standing strong against sin) having a low sub bass kick compared to the bass intensive yet chilled "Cry Out" encouraging people to pray to see God's will done. Other tracks are synth heavy like "Excuse Me", contrasting with the more gentle musical hook on "Water Reign".
