Biography
A stellar vocalist and songwriter and a captivating performer, Paul has traveled coast to coast in search of a song. A native of Newfoundland and now a resident of Alberta, paul has graced large stages, intimate coffee houses and family kitchens alike. Paul's music speaks of his love of the people and places a life in music has brought him. With his new album, SongSmith, Paul draws on his gift of storytelling as he revisits the singer-songwriter folk genre that has influenced him most.
Most recently Paul has released a 12 song singer/songwriter CD entitled "SongSmith" to very positive reviews. Tom Coxworth of Folk Routes, CKUA Radio, says of the album..."Very, very good.....even excellent". This collection of songs is eclectic with tunes ranging from Celtic ballads to folk rock to blues.
Instrumentation
Paul performs with a full band, "Generosity", or as a trio. Paul's primary instrument is his voice and his guitar is his "side man".
