From their hometown of Doylestown, Bucks County, PA, The Waltons have emerged as an Acoustic Pop-Rock Band, comprised of members from regional act Wineskin & Singer/Songwriter Jen Walton. All members of The Waltons have years of experience performing at Colleges, Festivals, Clubs, Bars, Coffee Houses and Private Events. Lead by brother and sister, Jen and Evan Walton, Jen's strong vocals have often been compared to Stevie Nicks and Natalie Merchant and she was awarded Best Female Vocals on GarageBand.com in the Pop/Rock category. Her brother, Evan, offers exceptional and dynamic guitar talent. Together, they envelop audiences with their inviting stage presence. Their combination of talents and live energy give listeners and audiences something to sink their ears into. Their song, Make Me Love You can be heard on 93.7 FM Hometown Heroes.

The Waltons band is filled with exceptionally talented musicians that offer a broad range of influence. They can play to a larger room or intrigue the audience in an intimate setting such as a coffee house or lounge atmosphere.
They offer a diverse range of original songwriting from pop, rock, jam, blues, funk and acoustic rock. In addition to musical talent, the band offers feel-good music and a unique hybrid of sounds. The members of the Waltons have shared the stage with many greats including David Lowery, Johnny Hickman, Bernie Worell (P-Funk), the Roots, Keller Williams, The Wailers, Moistboyz, etc. and have played such notable clubs as the Theater of Living Arts, the Khyber, the Grape Street Pub, Puck, the North Star Bar, Kelly's, Club Sabato, the Moose 1214 in addition to numerous colleges in the PA, NJ and NY areas. They have also performed at events for Pittsburgh Steelers Lynn Swann, fmr. PA Governor Tom Ridge, Sophie B. Hawkins and fmr. President Bill Clinton, Mayor Rudy Guiliani.

Lead vocalist Jen Walton will be featured as a character in upcoming Indie Release Film, "The Last One" . Her music will also be part of the movie's Soundtrack.

  Myspace.com now shows you when your friends hook up with new friends. That's how I first came across The Waltons, a Philadelphia based "hybrid acoustic rock" act lead by singer, keyboardist Jen Walton and her brother, guitarist, vocalist Evan Walton. The rest of the group consists of Joe Bonner on keyboards, Joe Gonzales on bass, Jared Schulberger on guitar and Tim Stevens on drums. Myspace makes it so easy to discover new music. Just click on a link and open your ears. Jen Walton swept me away with her award winning song, "Just Fine" (Best Female Vocals on GarageBand.com). Her web site describes her voice as reminiscent of Stevie Nicks and Natalie Merchant. I immediately emailed her and asked to review a copy of her CD. She graciously agreed to send me six, self-penned tracks from a work in progress.
  
  Most of the songs deal with the time-honored themes of romance. "Just Fine" reeks of "big hit single." "You gave me the kiss to keep for ever and that moment will always be ours. So if you ever want to kiss me, baby, one more time, that would be just fine." Walton sings the perfect blues note at the end of each chorus. The song ends with a tasty guitar solo. In "Rested and Ready," the singer describes a love affair between a morning person and a night owl. "6AM I wake in the dark just so I can be with you. I never was a morning person until I met you... And I wonder if I did ever think I would be waken up feeling rested and ready." In the slow waltz, "Waiting," Walton describes driving around in the middle of the night in the aftermath of a bad breakup. "Now it's so late that the lights are all green and there's no one driving around on these streets except me and the heart that you have now broken." The uptempo rocker, "A Thousand Tomorrows", describes the obstacles that every band must face on the road to stardom. "But in hindsight, things all look different. And in my memory the time was well spent. And I'd trade a thousand tomorrows for just one yesterday with you."
  
  What a great start to a potential blockbuster CD. Listen to Jen Walton once, and her voice will tattoo your mind.

  Cats have nothing on brother and sister Evan and Jen Walton, Doylestown natives who have lived more than their fair share of lives.
  
  Top agents with Weichert Realtors’ Doylestown office, they trade homeowner’s insurance for harmonies after hours, when you’ll most easily find them jammin’ it up at John & Peter’s in New Hope or Bobby Simone’s in Doylestown.
  
  The Waltons — the pair’s “hybrid acoustic rock” band, whose original tunes range from funk to blues to rock — is a mainstay on the Bucks live music circuit and has strengthened their lifelong bond to the local community. “Everybody’s played with each other for a very long time,” says Evan, the band’s guitarist. “I think we complement each other in unusual ways, growing up here our entire lives,” says Jen, the lead vocalist. “We show a different, original-grassroots feel.”
  
  Their octopus-like grip on Bucks music does not stop there. Evan plays guitar and sings for Wineskin, an eclectic rock band he started some 10 years ago. And, Jen, inspired by crooners Norah Jones and David Gray, sings on her own around the region, occasionally with Evan accompanying her on acoustic guitar.
  
  Neither Jen nor Evan have a problem mixing business with pleasure, but, Evan says, they only invite clients to their shows after settlement. —Sarah Firshein

  "The group (Wineskin) has played numerous local shows, including performances at John and Peter's and the TLA in Philadelphia, and has toured the United States and Canada in support of their three full-length albums...During college she (Jen) became the lead singer of Red Light District, which was reviewed on MTV.com and picked as a Philadelphia band to watch.
  The Waltons are "more contemporary, but with an organic feel." It took the Walton siblings a year to find other musicians to round out the group. Joe Gonzales, a resident of Feasterville and a bass player for nearly nine years, had played in local bands and knew Evan from the Bucks County music community. "I love playing with the Waltons. I've never been in a band with people who are more dedicated and talented," Gonzales said.
  Tim Stevens performs as part of Wineskin and was recruited after Jen and Evan tried working with other drummers. "He had experience playing with Evan, and he just clicked," recalled Jen.
  In addition to their shows at John and Peter's, The Waltons have played at the Grape Street Pub in Manayunk, Pa., Kelly's Bar in Doylestown, and Delaware Valley College during the recent "A-Day" festivities. In March, they performed on WIXQ 91.7 radio in Lancaster, Pa."
