Biography

We are a collection of professional and semi-professional musicians out of Grand Rapids, Michigan who come together in The Steve Hilger Band ('shb") to play original electric blues and in the jazz band ("The Steve Hilger Jazz Quintet") contemporary versions of jazz standards. All of the band members bring a unique flavor to our style. We pride ourselves in playing the traditional style of electric blues as well as tunes that push the envelope into the next generation of blues musicians. We also bring a new look to the jazz standard world.

With every song clocking in at over 5 minutes and three clocking in at over 10 minutes, the entire band gets plenty of time to stretch.
