Biography

Pop Singer/Songwriter Lea Marie describes her music as "Ma-Gaga", an exciting cross between Madonna & Lady Gaga. On her upcoming album, "Undercover Lover", which will be released on May 22nd, 2012, her influences are evident. In addition to “Ma-Gaga”, there is also some Britney, JLo, Katy Perry & even the other Perri, Christina thrown into the mix.
Lea Marie’s 1st Single off her New Album "Take Me For A Ride" is a clever play on words with double innuendoes throughout the song with an incredibly catchy hook "Honk Your Horn For Me" & a contagious beat. Track 3, "Undercover Lover" (the Album's title) grabs you with its 4 to the floor driving beat & humorous lyrics. The 4th song, switches gears with a Pop Ballad. "Turning Me On" showcases Lea Marie's songwriting talent on piano which clearly exhibits her unique Piano Pop sensibilities.
Lea Marie is the New Pop Princess with an added twist, writing all of her own songs solo. To date, she has composed well over 200 Original Pop Songs on Piano. Her love of Pop Music radiates throughout the entire "Undercover Lover" album.
Lea Marie was on the Opening Night of American Idol in 2008 as the 1st contestant ever on the TV Show as a Songwriter 1st & a Singer 2nd.   Trained in dance at 3 years old and classical piano and guitar since the age of 10, Lea Marie advanced quickly and was labeled a musical prodigy before her career even began. Today she is a singer, songwriter, and one of the youngest producers in the business. On June 24, she will share her talent worldwide with the release of her self-titled debut, "Lea Marie." Five of the album's tracks, "World of Wonders," "Your Brother's Girl," "The Player," "Alex," and "Memories," are currently available for preview on Lea Marie's website and her MySpace and YouTube pages. The performer's talent was initially recognized in 2001 when, at 8 years old, Lea Marie was chosen for the role of Shirley Temple and danced alongside tap-legend Gregory Hines in Showtime Network's feature film, "Bojangles." The expertly performed and produced "World of Wonders" and "(Your) Brother's Girl" drive home their choruses. The production simply pops. The artist not only sings well, but has lots of pro stage presence which suggests she can put these tunes over in a live setting. No question she would shine brightly in the current Disney/Hollywood Records juggernaut.
