Biography

4th and Inchez is a talented Hip-hop group comprised of three members who go by the names B Verse, Pluto Nash and Kizza.All three emcee’s are of Nigerian decent but currently reside in one of the country’s largest live music scenes: Houston, Texas.This city has produced many hip hop and R&B heavy weights and now 4th and Inchez is poised to make their mark on the music industry. Their distinctive sound comes from a fusion of cultural influences from Africa and the unmistakable southern style of Houston rap and R&B with a twist of east coast. This unique combination of styles has become the signature of 4th and Inchez music.
On their own, 4th and Inchez has recorded and produced two mix tapes titled No Fly Zone and Lag-City, which began generating exposure for the group and creating a buzz on the local music scene in Houston. B Verse, Pluto Nash, and Kizza have also merged their talents with three other up-and-coming Houston rappers by collaborating to form The Union Muzic Group. For eight months, The Union spent countless hours in the studio and produced three successful mix tapes.During this time the group expanded their already growing fan base and loyal street following in Houston through their music and live performances. The Unions very first single “My Banana” (We Loco) was produced by Pluto Nash and received over 3,000 downloads in its first week alone.
4th and Inchez is back to their original trio and released their first album as a group in spring 2010. The album titled Point of View (P.O.V.) was released on Itunes in April and was available for download on the groups’ website http://onesheet.com/4thandinchez/. Their single “All 4 U”received the highest number of downloads and was featured in a music video for Indmix.com. Currently, 4th and Inchez is hard at work marketing and promoting their music by hitting the streets and distributing thousands of CD’s on college campuses, night clubs and at their own performances. They have also been busy writing and recording new music for their upcoming album and mix tapes expected to be released in early 2012.
4th and Inchez has also taken their act on the road performing in live shows all over south Texas in cities including Houston, San Antonio, Dallas, Austin and Beaumont.They have opened for many big name artists including Rick Ross, Fabolous, Dorrough,Gucci Mane, Slim Thug, Talib Kweli etc. Most recently, the group was invited to perform at the House of Blues in Houston, Texas as the opening act for Hip-Hop legend DMX where they didn't only wow the fans but they also did something that has never been done before by an unsigned/indie artist out of Houston .
4th and Inchez stock is on the rise and with their talents in high demand they have numerous performances on the horizon, further expanding their already impressive resume. The members of 4th and Inchez have each dedicated their time and talents to reaching their goal of delivering their music to the world.They have developed a large local fan base and have now set their sights on gaining more wide spread recognition. All three of the mix-tapes had downloads in the tens of thousands, over 60,000 plays on www.myspace.com/4thinches along with thousands of cd’s passed out in the streets. 4th and Inchez music has been played on 90.9 KTSU, 90.3, several internet radio stations and have performed several live shows in Houston, Dallas, & Beaumont, TX. 4th and Inchez have opened for many artist such as Talib Kweli, Rick Ross, Fabolous, Dorrough, Gucci Mane and many more. Before forming the Union, 4th and Inchez produced 2 other mixtapes; No Fly Zone, & Lag-City. Our Latest EP "Point Of View" (P.O.V) which was released on the 22nd of April 2010 has been a major talk of the town. Over half a million views/plays on myspace, 434,000 downloads worldwide in the first 3 months of its release, etc... We recently did a LiveNation concert at the "House Of Blues" (Houston) Along side houstons own "Slim Thug". The list goes on and on, and there's more to come.

  4th & Inchez - Point of View Welcome to a change from the mundane. Point of View starts off as just...4th & Inchez - Point of View
  Welcome to a change from the mundane. Point of View starts off as just that, and lets the listener know that they are stepping over to the other side. The title track is one of the tapes strongest and showcases the groups talents in producing, singing, and rapping.
  
  The group does contain 3 distinct personalities, which is evident on their solo tracks, Domino Motion (Kizza,) also one of the tapes strongest and most universal tracks, Product of The Struggle (Verse,) and Star Trekk (Pluto Nash.) While their voices are clearly NY, there sound is defiantly not boxed in by an East Coast frame of mind.
  
  POV does become a little lackluster, or typical, towards the middle with songs like Talk 2 Em, a typical “flossin” song glorifying the money, car, clothes, and hos, (let’s face it, we’ve heard this before,) and 5 Stacks which is another Mr. Me Too (Clipse,) I Can Do It Too (Young Doe,) in general I think the point of view (no pun intended) on this story is played out. Frankly these two songs seem to be taking away from the overall message of the tape seen on tracks like Yellow Tape: “In the hood we wanna produce 10 Obamas/ But roun here most n****s is Lorenzo Lamas.”
  
  The commercial hit on the tape is easily Shawty Wanna Go which is club and radio ready, while being strong enough to break the Hip Hop/RnB chart and universal enough to hit the dance floors of Europe’s huge Techno scene.
  
  Overall it’s a solid effort, with a little fine tuning the industry will see the new era of hip hop from a different Point of View, pun intended.

When going after film and tv, you want to always send in clean versions to your records so your song can have the most access. Keep sending your stuff. And always carefully read the listing your submitting to. It sucks that I have to return these cause the joints are rockin.
  
  You guys are dope! The lyrics are sicko. I enjoyed the film "Catch Me If You Can" as well. I have to admit, I dont know jus how universal this one is. Only because Frank Abagnale t exactly a household name. You might want to change the song to "Catch Me If You Can"...not focus so much on the screwed "frank abagnale"...
  You guys should be out. Period point blank.

  These dudes lived up to the hype I’ve been hearing. I’d been riding with the Point of View album fo...These dudes lived up to the hype I’ve been hearing. I’d been riding with the Point of View album for a while now but hadn’t listened to it. After a good show last night at HOB, I decided to pop it in and let it play. It wasn’t bad at all…matter fact it was pretty good. They all bring a different style to the project. One of them sounds like I20 but a lot more lyrical and another reminds me of Sticky Fingaz but more lyrical as well. The tracks were cool too. They definitely don’t sound like a group from Houston. They covered a variety of topics on the project and did it in a entertaining and creative way while simultaneously being very arrogant and cocky. That usually bothers me but it didn’t this time. Some of the songs that made it to the iPod were Bite Me, 5 Stacks and Star Trekk. I think I do need to say that Autotune is dead. They used it frequently. I’m not sure if I heard anything that would be successful on the radio either. I was a little disappointed in the fact that the download was .wma’s and not .mp3's. That created some extra work for me. This group reps The Union also. They have a lot of different styles with them. Whenever that project releases it will either be mind blowing brilliant or overwhelmingly bad…we’ll see. I give Point of View 4 swangs

  4th and Inchez is compromised of 3 members, Verse, KB & Kizza, which are all of Nigerian heritage. The trio is originally from Brooklyn, New York but currently reside in Houston, Texas. These different sounds can be detected in their music, and can be described as East Coast meets the Dirty South with an ethnic wrinkle. That is one of the things that makes 4th and Inchez sound unique. The trio doesn’t limit their sound to what would be typically thought of as Hip Hop/Rap. When Verse, KB, and Kizza came to Houston they soon joined forces with three other Houston rappers to form The Union Muzic Group. In the eight months that followed The Union worked diligently in the studio and produced three mixtapes all while building a fan base and a street following. Before forming the Union, 4th and Inchez produced 2 other mixtapes; No Fly Zone, & Lag-City. What makes 4th and Inchez so unique is the diversity of each group members style and how it translates into their music. Three young men who have experienced three distinct ways of life (lived in the East, moved and grew accustomed to the ways of Houston, Texas) but all have backgrounds and influences stemming from Africa. The ultimate goal is for 4th and Inchez music to reach further than the Hip Hop crowd, but also to the alternative crowd as well.

Setlist

Atleast 3 good microphones,(with clear quality) we have a full fledged band so monitors, amps the whole 9 would be needed, we would prefer flight and accommodation. We also prefer paid shows but we can do a couple of non paying gigs just to expand our fanbase.
