Biography

Our band is family which consists of a Father/Pastor, his Wife(Sarah) and five of their 6 daughters, 2 sons, 1 grandson, and 1 son-in-law.
Our music ranges from traditional to traditional music with a contemporary flair.
We grow where we are planted and can bring any audience into our world with what we are blessed and anointed to do.
We sang from street corners to prison, from churches to auditoriums and from home to across the sea.

  Dr.Jones - I'm still beaming about last night at the Paramount Theatre. The Jones Family - and the crowd's reaction - were amazing. Great set selection and the rythm section on "Down On Me" had the whole house rocking. I can't wait to see the footage. Isn't it great to have a recording of this event? I think that this DVD will be a greaGranted, in many ways the two cities are as different from one another as porterhouse steaks are to po'boys, as enchiladas to etoufees. But Austin and New Orleans have one defining characteristic in common. Thier streets teem each and every day of the year with live music that, while certainly spiced differently, nonetheless originates from the same melting pot base stock that untimately defines American culture. The many sounds echoes during SXSW was phenominal.
  It could have been the sound of the church, like the Bay City, Texas based Jones Family Singers, who hit the stage at full gospel throttle and barely stopped to breathe in the course of a set that has everyone on their feet testifying even the horn-rimmed, straight arrow forty something in front of us doing a wondrously unself conscious imitation of a Steve Martin happy dance.
  
  Feeling the warmth at the South by Southwesr Music Festival by Billy Altman, Correspondant U-Entertainmentt calling card for future bookings.
