Biography
Nebraska born Tim Holcomb is a seasoned, authentic country performer who sites Merle Haggard, Ronnie Milsap and Rodney Crowell as major influences on his style. Tim has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in country music, including Clint Black, Brooks and Dunn and Diamond Rio just to name a few. As a stage performer, Tim exudes the perfect mix of professionalism and approachability that endears him to his loyal fan base and anyone seeing and hearing him for the first time. As an eight year survivor of Chronic Myeloid Leukemia, Tim's appreciation for his new lease on life can be heard in his music. Tim wrote a song touching directly on this subject called "Turning to Grey."
Tim’s First album Cowboy on the Run was recorded at Willie Nelson’s famous Pedernales Studios in Austin, Texas by legendary producer Joe Gracey. The recording was released May 1, 2002 on Union Cowboy Records, by International Music Promotions Charlie Beth.Cowboy on the Run achieved international success in Europe charting a #9 single on the World Mainstream Charts, a #11 single on the EMS Country Top 40 with it’s title cut. The album claimed a spot on the European CMA as well as the European DJ Top 75. The World Mainstream Charts survey recognized Cowboy on the Run as the eighth most played album on world wide radio during the week of June 8-15, 2002. This radio success led to a distribution deal with world renown music distributor and newly acclaimed “Billboard Powerhouse”, Four Winds Trading Company, Arvada, CO., and international distribution with Bear Family Records/ Dixie Racks Music located in Munich, Germany and Nashville, Tennessee.
Tim's radio single "Raindance" was released in 2010 by Deep South Entertainment on a compilation disc entitled "Between the Deep". Deep South Entertainment is located in Raleigh, NC and Nashville, TN.
