Biography

The Rexedog philosophy is a simple one: write and play music you like and hope other people will catch your wave. Good thing it is an easy wave to catch for fans of Rexedog who find the band members personality as valuable as the music they play. In three years of writing and jamming in basements with hand me down clothes and equipment Rexedog has been highly prolific with 2 full length albums recorded and countless performances in the greater Delaware valley area. Their sound is a little grunge, a little bit of blues, and mostly undefinable, laced with humorous lyrics that glorify the average kid and satirize everything else. The market is right for Rexedog in a pop culture where edgier is better. There potential listeners range from the suburban subversive to the inner city art freak looking to pound a few 40s down and catch the revolution. Rexedog is a rough gem but the fans like them that way, however with a little faceting and fine tuning, this band could be an inspiration to a new generation of music.

  he first thing that i'm noticing is the overall vintage sound of the song. almost a kind of throwbac...he first thing that i'm noticing is the overall vintage sound of the song. almost a kind of throwback to the prominent production of the 60's era.....but with a less modern flair than the white stripes, jet, the strokes and other new groups that seem to utilize that sound. this tune also has an experimental quality to it, but in a beck, bjork kind of way. the drums have that big roomy tone and they sit back in the mix, as opposed to newer recording techniques where the drums are pushed forward and powerful. as a drummer, i don't particularly care for that kit sound, but it serves this song pretty well. the vocals were in a word -- interesting. some semblances of serj from system of a down with the way lyrics are phrased (2:33) and even the high pitched vocal lines. as weird as it may sound for me to say, some parts tonewise remind me of johnny rotten from the sex pistols. it may have just been the melody of particular parts.........more monotone belting it out. good example of what i'm talking about happens at 1:22. overall, this song is not really my taste, however in today's age, you cannot deny originality and this group definitely possesse that.
