Artist Information
Biography
For his first release, he landed a 4-STAR 'Q RECOMMENDS' review in Q Magazine and the front cover feature in Blues Matters Magazine who called him 'one of the most original artists out there at the moment'.
He received numerous glowing blog reviews. Here are a few quotes: 'he is something else and deserves your full attention', 'if you love great music, this is the one you want', 'a work of complete genius', 'something rather special', 'should be nominated for some major music award', 'glorious and enchanting', 'one of this country's finest voices'.
His music has been played on BBC 6 Music, Radio2, XFm, NME radio, Planet Rock, Indie 103.1, KCMP, KNRK, WXPN and many others.
After playing SXSW in Austin Texas, he got to number 3 in the US alt-radio chart with a demo of 'Years Between' which he is currently re-recording for an album called 'History of the Best and Worst of Us'.
Surprisingly, he was included in Heat Magazine's annual Hot New Artists top 10. He is not sure why - perhaps because of his appearance on Ricky Gervais cohort and Office co-creator, Stephen Merchant's 6 Music show or perhaps because of the tabloid press stories about his song 'Dog Meat Stew' being banned in China for the Olympic games.
Strangelandic all the way.
