Deb Hunseder and Steph Callahan met in 1989 and had their first gig two weeks later. The harmonies were magic. From the first note, they knew they had something that could not be matched. Since 1989 the duo has opened for national acts including John Mayer, Pat Benatar, India.Irie, Joan Osborne, Tabithas Secret (now Matchbox 20), Sister Hazel, Crosby, Stills, and Nash, Joan Bias, Cheryl Wheeler, Wynona Judd, Patrice Pike, Sarah Bettens, Melissa Ferrick, and Koko Taylor.
They've also performed their stirring accapella rendition of the national anthem for the Atlanta Braves, Tampa Rays and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Halcyon has built a iron clad fan base by touring the US and abroad. They've played many main stage Pride events, Olivia cruises and festivals including Atlanta, Chicago, Seattle, Portland, Denver, Alaska, York, England and tour heavily in the southeastern US.
With twenty years of experience, and eight CD's between them in the bag, this duo is a finely tuned personable act. They are capable of touring as a duo, or as a band.

The band Halcyon packs them in at Skipper's Smokehouse, where a rock-infused sound and a feeling of acceptance rule.
"In our 25 years of business here, they are by far our most consistent draw," said Tom White, owner of Skipper's Smokehouse, north Tampa's combination restaurant and outdoor theater. "You can be sure that any night Halcyon plays here we've got a good 400 to 500 people."
Over the years they developed a unique and fiercely loyal cadre of fans who have now spilled over into second and third generations of listeners.

And when they sing, their flawless harmonies are enough to make you put that beer down and take notice.

They chose Halcyon, a women's duo originally from Ft. Myers and Naples, now known to attract up to 700 people at Tampa area shows.
"I could just hear their harmonies," says Randy Wynne, program manager at WMNF 88.5 FM. "They are one of our WMNF favorites. Our listeners love them and our DJ's love them," says Wynne. "When we play their music, we play it right next to national artists, and it sounds really good."

Halcyon...after years together yielding five independently produced CD's, they've become of the most buzzed about acoustic duos on the circuit.
They do their own songs with the addition of a few covers including:
"National Anthem" acapella
"Come to My Window" Melissa Etheridge
"Joey" Concrete Blonde
"What's Up" 4 non blondes
"Fast Car" Tracy Chapman
"Caroline" Concrete Blonde
"Last Day of Or Acquaintance" Sinead O'Connor
"Blister in The Sun" The Violent Femmes
"She Will Be Loved" Maroon 5
"Wild Horses" by The Rolling Stones
"Time After Time" Cyndi Lauper
Halcyon prefers to do "shows" 1 long set or two shorter sets, but they are flexible. They have plenty of material. They try to keep shows upbeat, but if it's an intimate venue, they will pull out some of the more thought provoking tunes.
