About Young's new album, "Passion of the loose cannon, with remarks": Songs about war. Songs about love. Fascination. Infatuation. Saying goodbye and crashing the scene. Expanding minds in Montparnasse. Loosened license and a little thing about Pedro, the medal aspirant. This is “Passion of the loose cannon, with remarks,” recorded in Missa Studios (Young’s basement) and mixed and mastered at Coupe Studios in Boulder by Greg McRae (Yonder Mountain String Band, DeVotchKa, Flobots).

The album features interviews with characters connected to the band, including Rats Martin, Veronica Sedgwick, Montgomery S. Littenburg III, Shawn Riley and Vinny “The Island” Borelli. This follows Young’s previous full-length release, the searching “Do-si-do for your girl,” and his earlier “High Stakes Man Going Down.”

Young has performed with numerous Colorado acts, including The Flood, Meadowlark Jivin’ and the Liz Barnez Band.
