Biography
On a cold winter day in the year of 2005 Braden Yingling, John Paul Wolfe III, and Matt Crouse got together for a jam session in Braden's basement. What they did not know at the time was that this would be the begining of the group known as Slowave.
They started off as a high-school jamband, just getting together regularly to play for friends and a festival or two. Years went by, and the band was still together but playing sparingly.
In 2007 they acquired a keyboardist named Greg Schreffler. Greg had been friends with all the members beforehand, so the choice was perfect. With the new keyboardist they immediately started breaking out of the mold of a jamband, and more into a solid rock/electronica act but keeping elements of improv.
Using influences such as The Rapture, LCD Soundsystem, The bays, Brothers Past, The Disco Biscuits, The Happy Mondays and many other bands they formed a sound of their own that can only be experienced live.
Since Greg's introduction they have played numerous shows in Harrisburg and Philadelphia, PA as well as Morgantown, WV and New York, New York.
Slowave has played with acts such as Digital Frontier, Push, Symmetrical Kickboxing, Quagmire Swim Team, Kb noise, The Juice, The Green Light Society and many other great bands.
