"The Hongs: Music Showcase Raising Awareness for Biscayne Bay Waterkeeper"

Our favorite on-line music collective that was founded on the necessity to fight for swimmable, drinkable and fishable water in local communities is back on the Miami music scene. Swim Drink Fish Music along with the local waterkeeper chapter, Biscayne Bay Waterkeeper will make its 2013 live music showcase debut this Thursday Feb 28th at the Electric Pickle during their weekly Eclectic Electric party. - 305Green.com

":: Live Music This Weekend: Chat With The Hongs"

The Hongs, which is described as ‘Rock Disco’, meshes different genres together to create electric performances. The quintet, hailing from Miami, is comprised of Carlos Bedoya, Gordon Myers aka AusGang , Rudolfo Zuniga, Didi Gutman, and Aaron Johnston. This Friday, the multinational dance conglomerate will be performing at Bardot. - WasabiFashionKult

"South Florida Musicians Share Common Chord on Haiti"

It’s a passion shared by South Florida’s musically inclined, evident by the outpouring of aid offered by local artists from hip hop to rock-n-roll and all genres in between.

Several hours later, as Dee’s live broadcast outside Wal-Mart wound down to rhythm and blues, a growing crowd in search of dark indie pop packed inside the Vagabond, as the Overtown dive played host to a benefit concert where fans were treated to the likes of Afrobeta, Cleaveland Jones, the Hongs and The State Of.

The tune was no different from the one heard outside Wal-Mart. - NBC Miami

"The Hongs Bring Rock Disco to Green Room on Saturday Night"

You may not have heard of The Hongs yet, but they've been bringing what they call disco rock to the scene for a hot minute. Bassist Gordon Myers recently moved back to Miami from New York, tired of the winters, bringing with him this unique style of dance music. - Broward-Palm Beach New Times

"::The Hongs, A Five Men Army"

The Hongs is a multicultural band based in Miami since 2006. Their sound flirts with calm, deep, but powerful and progressive melodies at the same time. Their main purpose is to explore the space between the electronic and organic. This Sunday, January 29 the Hongs will be playing at The Armory Studios during a cultural “varieté” that will include the performance of Krisp and live fashion sculpture powered by Wasabi Fashion Kult. - WasabiFashionKult

"Local Motion: The Hongs"

There is something very delicate and ephemeral about the Hongs. Their music sounds like something that reverberates in hallways in those moments before sleep hits. I'm talking about serenity -- because there is something very serene about this EP. It somehow manages to guide a slow dance that still boasts moments of unrestrained energy. Stylistically, it dips into the wells of New Wave, shoegaze, and sugary pop. - Miami New Times - Crossfade

"NiteTalk: The Hongs Hit the Pickle’s Way Huge Artwalk Afterparty"

Art may be the reason for Second Saturday, but Artwalk has really become more of a blowout bacchanal. Since no self-respecting blowout ends at 11, it’s up to the afterparties to make it official. That makes The Electric Pickle’s Way Huge Artwalk Afterparty pretty much a must. With Miami's own The Hongs taking the stage alongside such heavies as UK's Crazy P, the must is unequivocal. Niteside got The Hongs’ Gordon Myers to give up some background. - NBC Miami

"Free music, free rum at the AE District"

Join the Hongs and Datamouth on Friday night for free music and free Brugal rum at the AE District in the Miami Design District. - Miami.com
