Singer C.Boyd wants the world to know that not all musicians are the product of a troubled past. He is anxious to share his spirited music and his story of strong family ties with all who are willing to listen. It seems merely a matter of time before the talented young man who is turning heads with his unique blend of Pop soul, gospel, and R&B becomes a successful recording artist.
C. Boyd was born in Columbus, Ohio. The oldest of three boys, he considers himself fortunate to have been raised by two parents who cared for and loved him. Their backing of him has always been unwavering, even as he decided to pursue his passion for music in New York City. His family is not only a source of support for Boyd - it is also the very foundation of all that he does. Never shying away from competition is also a strong suite of Boyd. Boyd is still a phenomenal athlete and a former two sport superstar. Boyd's love of life, past achievements, and his desire to do the right thing stem from his family's example.
His music is steeped in the love that he has experienced through his family and his relationship with God. This unconditional love serves as a constant reminder that people should never consider themselves totally alone. There is always someone there to watch out for them. Boyd's song, “I Know I Can Make It”, is an encouragement to people who are experiencing difficulties to keep on fighting. The message is simple, yet relevant: take comfort in whatever brings you love and joy, and let that sustain you as you fight the good fight. In his brief time in New York City, Boyd has performed live in several of the city's bars and lounges. His voice, which was developed starting at age five in his junior choir, has been intriguing audiences for the better part of a year.
In a city that is known for its jaded and sometimes bitter attitude, Boyd shines as a performer who has the ability to cheer people up and make them dance and smile. This desire to connect with his audiences fuels Boyd's performance. He thrives on energy and is infectiously determined to have his positive message heard by as many people as possible. His music is inspired by the sounds of Donny Hathaway, John Legend, R.Kelly, John P Kee, Fred Hammond, and Usher. Although he has many influences, Boyd does have a unique style. He combines the artistry of soul and gospel music with the passion of R&B, creating a sound that manages to be both refreshing and familiar.
C.Boyd is known in the industry as a very competitive entertainer, and his competitiveness drives him to fulfill his dream of being a successful recording artist. In an era that glorifies that which is dark, decadent, and devious, C.Boyd stands out as a brightly shining light. His music serves as a reminder to people that better times are coming, despite the past or the present. Fueled by a loving family, his music and his message are both persuasive and interesting. Boyd's ability to tell a refreshingly positive story makes him an artist that deserves the music industry's attention.

I usually do Original songs, written and produced by me and my team. If I do a cover song it would be 1 to 2 maybe per show so that the crowd is familiar with something.
Every show is differant that I do. I have a lot of material. I judge my show by where I am and who it is I am performing for.
I can perform for 30 min. I can go for 1 hr.
I typically will perform without my band with my tracks, and my background singers but if the venue is fitting for my band then I will use my band and put on a phenominal show.i
