Artist Information
Biography
Matt Owens & Jason Hiller met in 2003 or 2004 (who can remember) and slowly (and I do mean slowly), began writing songs together. In the summer of 2007, they set out to record what would become 'Til The Wheels Fall Off', a ten song collection of country infused rock 'n roll songs that explore life, love, dirty bars, six-shooters, trains and other such things. The record was recorded at Walden Recordings in Beverly Hills, California and produced by Jason Hiller himself. Marc Ford (formerly of The Black Crowes), Chris Joyner and others came by to lend a hand. Sometime later, Scott Barkan and Andy Zacharias joined the fold and the band began playing live in and around Los Angeles.
Instrumentation
Matt Owens ~ the lead singer, harp, percussion, knots in hair. Scott Barkan ~ a huge selection of guitars, very loud in the left speaker. Andy Zacharias ~ a four-lettered word called bass. Jason Hiller ~ pounded on the skins.
