Bryce's lyrics are what set him apart from other songwriters. Unique situations told from his wry persepective, combined with unforgettable melodies, will have you humming these tunes. The songs are rocking, the guitar playing is great, and his voice will melt you away.

Bryce was struck by the song-writing muse when he was only 14 years old. With some help from a chord book, he taught himself guitar and then later piano. One might say that his lyrics are most strongly influenced by Dylan, his melodies by Springsteen. One can hear the influences of Lou Reed in his style, while some have compared his guitar playing style to Neil Young. As a result, his music is very contemporary yet retains the strong songwriting qualities of the past.

Bryce grew up in Southern New Hampshire with frequent trips to New York City. Living in New Hampshire afforded him the opportunity to play frequently and loudly. Living near St. Mark's place in New York allowed him to see a totally different side of life, the East Village in the '90s.

Bryce played in different bands but his songwriting took precedence. He continued to write and practice and with so many songs to his credit went to Bristol Studios in Boston to record. This resulted in some shorter EP's and the beginning of his current album, "Boom Bang City." He utilized the talents of Jim Masdea, formerly of the band Boston on drums, Perry Yeldham on bass, and Viktor Krey on keyboards.

Bryce moved to New York City in late 2004. After an initial dry spell, the new locale inspired him and the music wouldn't stop coming. He wrote a catalogue of about 100 great new songs.

He returned to the recording studio in May of 2005 to finish working on his album. This time he chose Hot Sound Studios in Chelsea in New York City and worked with Chief Engineer Jeff Philips. The sessions were long and pain-staking and well worth the effort. The result is the current "Boom Bang City" which includes the favorites "Spinning Angie," "Surrogate Friday," and "Anti-Drug." Jeff's dynamic bass playing was added to some of the tracks, and Bryce and Jeff both added some upbeat piano.

Bryce is a member of the New York Songwriters, whose performances at the Bitter End and CBGB's can be seen on live webcast. He performed at the Orange Bear, also in NYC, and at An Tua Nua in Boston and at Oxford College in England. He is a member of ASCAP.

Bryce continues to write profusely and looks forward to concentrating on performing and bringing his music to new audiences.
