Biography

Heather Layne's music reflects her life journey. "I write out of my own life experiences... I also write songs about the lives of those around me... we all have a story.  I believe music has a way of expressing the thoughts and feelings of thousands of people at one time, in one song.  For me, that's what songwriting is all about... taking life's ups and downs and creating a song that can encourage someone else.  We all need to know that we're not alone... we all need to know that there is someone out there who understands."

Instrumentation

Heather plays acoustic guitar.  Her band also consists of a light drummer/percussionist and acoustic guitarist. Her music set is always family-friendly.

Heather Layne's Single "Close Your Eyes" off her "Nashville Collection" Album is set to release nationwide over Country Music Radio in September 2010. She will be on a radio tour of the U.S. from September 17th - October 10th.

Heather Layne is flexible when it comes to song sets.  She performs 30-minute sets to 3-hour sets, depending on what is appropriate for the venue. You can sample some of her original songs under the "Audio" tab. She is also able to perform cover songs, as requested.
