Biography
London Bridgez is a lyricist whose live performance is rooted in spoken word and soul infused hip hop often accompanied by a live band instrumentation. She bridges the worlds of spoken word, literature, hip hop and live music.
London is an artist and an activist who uses her status as a public figure to ally with non profits who are serving social needs. Her social justice performance credits include Bayard Rustin Community Breakfast sponsored by the Aids Action Committee, a YWCA fundraiser to support the production of VDAY Lawrence, Queer Women of Color Week- OUTSPOKEN, Provincetown Women of Color Weekend, the Hispanic & Black Gay Coalition Panel Series, National Day of Silence , NYC Pridefest Stage, Sister's Talk Radio and the Aids Walk Boston Opening Ceremonies.
Her other performance credits include the Nuyorican, Williamsburg Jazz Center Brooklyn, Tutuma Social Club Manhattan, The Indigo Lounge Los Angeles, Manhattan Neighborhood Network TV One Different Community Voices Show, Nashville based BB KING’s Restaurant & Lounge, Boston Greenfest, The Strand Theater- Boston, Acoustic Soul Lounge- Manhattan, Alan Khazei for Senate Fundraiser, MIT, Stir It Up Jamaica Film & Music Festival, Northeastern University, National Poetry Awards- Raleigh NC, and more.
