Biography
Riemens writing is influenced by bands like the Flying Burritos, Bob Wills, Dan Hicks and John Hyatt. The band has been together for 5 years and 3 cd's. Formerly with Willie Nelson (Teatro), Brian Griffith's searing guitar acrobatics enhance Riemens strong vocal and meaningful lyrics. Drummer Duemo and Bassist Ashworth provide a solid groove.
Riemens songbook has over 100 songs and 7 full length recordings to his credit. His life story is being depicted in the play -Tobacco Troubador- launching in September of 2008. The musical includes a selection of JP's songs.
