Biography

From over 2000 bands appearing at the festival, Polly Mackey & The Pleasure Principle were chosen to officially open the festival by playing at the Delegate Welcome Dinner at SXSW 2010.

After appearing alongside Kings Of Leon, Oasis and The Killers at FIB Heineken Festival in Spain in 2009, the band will soon be announcing European Festival dates for 2010.

This summer, the band have been confirmed for City Showcase Festival, The Great Escape Festival, The Alt Escape Festival, Wakestock Festival (Mainstage), Liverpool Sound City Festival and Radio 1 Big Weekend Fringe Festival.

Discography

The band's first single 'Seriously' was recorded at Peter Gabriel's RealWorld Studios and attracted critical acclaim on both sides of the Atlantic.

2010 has seen the limited edition release of the band's debut EP, tracks from which have received extensive airplay on 6Music (Lauren Laverne + Tom Robinson), XFM and Radio 1.

The band plan to release their second single to coincide with a national tour of the UK in Sept / Oct 2010.
