Artist Information

Biography

Described as "a crisp, & precise take on garage pop," (Boston Globe), Parks draw more from The Shins than The Beach Boys. Bursting out of Boston’s indie-pop scene, the band distinguishes itself with dynamic performances between fiery Strokes-esque twists and turns and rich three-part harmonies.

Audiences have noticed: The Boston Globe recently named the band “one to watch in 2013” and commented on the band’s and their first single, “Sweater Weather” was featured in the Boston Phoenix’s “Class of 2013” cover story.

Parks have shared the stage with The Lumineers (Dualtone), Fountains of Wayne (Yep Roc), Hospitality (Merge), & Milo Greene and their music has been used on NBC, MTV, and Vh1.

Their debut album will be released later this year and will be mixed by the Grammy award-winning Ducky Carlisle.

Formed in late 2012, Parks are:
Brian E. King (singer/songwriter/guitar)
Stu Dietz (guitar)
Matt Girard (bass/vocals)
Liz McBride (vocals/keys/percussion
Brian Fitch (drums, percussion)
